Wait a second....
Do malachite green based meds expire?Im asking because I was treating all my tetras for ich in the 5 gal, and I saw no improvement. Then I took a look at the medication and it was clear! Isnt malachite green supposed to be a deep blue?

I can't remember, Ed. Either the fungus meds turn the water green or the ick med does. When I was treating my neons for ick it didn't turn the water green but then again, it didn't kill the ick and they all died, too.

Why do they call it malachite green, if it's blue?

Hobbs malachite green will stain all your artificle plants, decor, and tubing a nice shade of blue......... The fungus ones usually cloud the water a couple days with all the little white particles.................
