Has anyone heard of a coil fish?
Hey Everyone,
theres a lady at my work selling a 55 gal set up. she says theres a white coil fish in it. I tried googleing coil fish and came up with only koi fish. From the picture the fish is all white and only about 2-3" long. Any ideas?Last edited by Jemerald; 07-20-2010 at 02:16 PM.
Why does Sea World have a seafood restaurant?? I'm halfway through my fish burger and I realize, Oh my God....I could be eating a slow learner!

I wonder if the owner just spelled or missunderstood koi. It does kind of look like one.

Thanks everyone for your help, the lady just wrote back and said it is infact a koi. So now that i know that, any advice on how big this guy can get? I was hoping to merge the tanks. so i would be adding 1 betta, 5 zebra danios and some snails. any advice?

He'll eventually outgrow that tank. Koi get HUGE and need a pond.

Koi get 2-3 feet or more. They are a pond fish. Most LFS would probably take it for trade though.
