i noticed last week that it looked like she has holding then i saw her and one of my unkown (hybrid?)cichlids dancing he had the gravel dug donw to the bare bottom he would get close to the bottom and shake and she would be right behind him picking at his egg spot at this time her mouth was already full so i caught her and put her in a baby net . know if he is a .hybrid could he be sterile like some other hybrids.if the eggs are not fertile how long will she countue to hold the eggs how will she know

If the eggs are unfertile they will start to get a fungus with in a couple of days and then she will spit or swallow.
