    Question Mystery fish....any ideas on ID

    Hi I've posted this question on the North Americam Cichlids forum as well ...some have suggested that the mystery fish are Malawi...I'm not sure if people skip all over the AC so I thought I'd get some new ideas from you.
    There are 3 fish 2 a breeding pair and the other is on it's own all sold as the same fish. The dark stripes come and go with aggression levels and can completely dissappear. The 1st fish does not get the stripes.

    8 tanks running now:
    1x 220 gallon, 2x55 gallon, 1x40 gallon long, 1x29 gallon, 1x20 gallon long, 1x5.5 gallon, 1x2 gallon
    Gouramis, barbs, rasboras, plecos, corys, tetras, fancy guppies, swordtails, ottos, rainbow shark, upside-down catfish, snails, and Max and Sparkles the bettas.

    The first one really looks like a green texas, like fishguy mentioned, and the second looks like a blue acara juvie to me.

    The second 1 is a Blue Acara juvenile. They are a South American Cichlid & grow to about 8 inches. I'm not sure about the first 1 tho.
