    its safe to put this in the tank directly or should it be diluted with water first?

    I use the seachem product.It is in granular form like salt.I add it directly to the tank,it takes about 2 minutes to dissolve.You could probably get more immediate results by dilluting it first but I wouldn think it neccesary.If yours is a liquid the you can do it either way as well.
