Account Non-activity
This is 1 for the Mods,
I just had a look through the members list and noticed there are accounts there that have been there for ages (yr+) that have never made a post or 1 or 2 posts and then never to be heard from again. Is there any amout of time where an account would be deleated because of non activity. Maybe send a pm or something to that member and if not answered in a specific amount of time suspend the account. Send another pm if not answered then deleat the account all together. Then place all if any points into the lottery. Most people if they are going away for any length of time, say a military member or someone moving to another country 99% of the time usually posts this information. I know I did when I was in the Navy and was going away on a deployment etc. I don't know if it takes any extra time or effort by the Mods or web space to continue with these accounts but would this free any of that up.
Just a thought

that considered, there are a lot of profiles that have been gone longer than any deployment. Which run what 18months at there worst, 7 at the best. I agree with Sailor. We need to clean our tank *teehee* :)

The Mods complain about the same thing the members complain about and nothing seems to get us anywhere. I have griped about that list of 12000 + members forever. And it's amazing because William has had the forum for 4 years but many of those people have been around for YEARS. Figure that one out!

Same here, but that would probably have to be a mod or an admin job, dealing with the members account area.

The way I would go about doing it is to email the account holder and let them know that due to recent prolonged inactivity your account will be deleted. Give them a certain amount of time to reply. Say a week. If no replies than can the account! Just my two cents!
20g long 84w, fluorite, planted, 5 Habrosus Corys, MTS, pair of Clown Pleco (L104)
20gal tall: home to 10 brevis. Letting them pair off then will put the rest into the 55.

Might be that they ask a question, once answered, don't feel the need to come back. I don't understand it either.....just suggesting a reason.

I thought of the same thing, emailing and update their accounts but that's a no go as well since you can register on a fictitious email account. Something else the mods have been wanting is real, registered accounts so people can't join under 10 names.
One of the reasons the member list is so long as because every tom, dick and harry that offered up spam went on the members list. That's why you see so many with only 1 post.Last edited by Lady Hobbs; 01-29-2008 at 12:49 AM.
