Hi there....can anyone assist me in identifying these fish? They were sold as Golden Cichlids but are not. The three fish looked similar when younger but they are quite different now. Are the Jack Dempsy? ?????
I have a breeding pair with lots of fry and more eggs. hope the photos are attached...If not I'll try again.....bit hard to id fish with no photos!

I must say your fish look good and healthy. My best guess is that your fish with all the light blue spots is a Texas cichlid, and the other two look more like Green Terrors or Blue Acaras than Jack Dempseys, but I may be wrong.

The 3rd picture looks like a Bluegray Mbuna. Im not sure though. Tehy all look a bit like an Elongate Mbuna. Again though not really sure!

They kind of have the colouring of a JD, but they look too stripey! Don't know a lot about them so can't really help, just been looking at photos!

The first one is definitely a green texas. The 2nd must be a hybrid as said before. It looks sort of like a JD but is too round/circular to be one. And the third one does resemble a JD but the colors are different. Stripes are really dark, greenish blue colors dont extend all the way down the body, and the red tips arent present. Of course im no expert and i could totally be wrong, but that last fish nomatter what it is is a beauty. The colors are so bright and vivid.

    Thanks for all the ideas!!!
The dark stripes come and go they vary with the level of aggression. They are pretty aggressive now because of the eggs.
    they can completely dissappear.
