    Would a peacock bass slighty smaller than a oscar be ok together? they would both be under 5". And could someone tell me a little information on them? Thanks.

    I used to fish for both in florida... peacock bass get huge (not in florida, but in the amazon). thats about all i know.


    Shrimp and snail junkie... What can I say, I like the little things in life.

    Yeah from what i read they get 24 inches sometimes 30 inches in great conditions.

    Peacock bass can get up to 30 lbs and would eventualy eat an Oscar. I would not do that. I would not get a peacock bass in anything less than a 200.

    I'd say 800 gallon minimum for a peacock bass. But 1000+ would be better. Those things are huge and not only long but very heavy too. They like lots of space to swim around and would make short work of almost any other tank mate.
