    Tolley,
You can, long as your pond's water is clean. Duckweed is disgustingly hardy, and it'll probably thrive and spread all over the nutrient-rich water of aquariums.

I have duckweed in my guppy tank and it does very well. I've tried to establish it in my goldfish tank but they eat and destroy all that I add within minutes so no luck there. I have 4 wpg light and a DIY CO2 and it grows crazy fast in the 10 gallon so it shouldn't be very hard to get it going in a tropical tank and I think it looks good in any tank.
