Remember the Galah I rescued a few months ago?
For those who don't, he had fallen out of a nest at the school I work at, the kids was kicking at him and tormenting him, he was not even weened, we spoon fed him for about a month.
Well here he is now, by the time the pic was taken he was getting hot and restless, but just before, he was sitting on my shoulder and exploring, this is his 1st out of cage venture, my mate just clipped his wings for me.
In America I think they are known as a pink breasted cockatoo or something like that, over here its just Galah. His name is Lewie. My birdpage: http://featheredfriends.weebly.com/

Lovely bird, crack, and kudos to you for rescuing and rearing the little fellow. You've done a good thing, and now have a faithful pet.

Not a Major mitchell, just a Galah, perhaps because he has his tail exposed from the wing clip gives him the look of a Major, actually I don't think we even have them around here any more, just the silver crested and the galahs.

Thanks everyone
It really makes me wonder at times, how kids can be so cruel, not only had this guys parents evicted him from his nest, but the kids kicking at him, he was a very stressed out little bloke for a couple of days, and within a couple more days we was handling him, in the couple of months we have had him, he has never tried to bite, and if we walk pst without giving him a pat, he cries LOL, (true)My birdpage: http://featheredfriends.weebly.com/

He is very cute ^_^
My family and I have rescued a few magpies, one of which was named 'George' We got really attatched to the little guy, but unfortunately he passed on -_- He had had a great life though, with lots of love, shelter and food ^_^
Hope your little fella lives a long, rewarding life. Goodluck with him!
