Thread: partion in tank

    Smile partion in tank

I was looking for something to seperate my tank in 2 sections. I came up with something that is really cheap. plastic mesh panel from Michaels at .39 cents each. They come in a bunch of different colors. has small holes in mesh but not big enough for fry to pass through. I chose clear plastic. This works great and is flexable to fit in the tank. If the tank is larger you can put 2 panels together with thread. Bury the mesh in the gravel of the tank. This is great to seperate baby fish in the main tank or aggresive fish or your males from females. Just thought I would share this with you all.

very cool......i just use a plain old divider that i bought from my LFS. Thats a good idea though....alot cheaper.

  3. Default Tank Divider

I agree. Sounds nifty. I also use just regular tank dividers and somehow they still find ways to get through. Remember, they have 24hrs a day 7 days a week to explore and if there is a way........

I use regular tank dividers and a clear tank sealer caulk to hold them in place. This seems to work in most instances. I must advise that should you choose to do this, be sure to use sealer that is non-toxic to fish. A good one will generally say this on the front of tube.
