 Which Fish???

This is on behalf of my friend.
She wants to buy some sort of coldwater fish, although I am not sure whether she has a tank or not. Please give me some tips for her. How about suggesting some species and hw big the tank needs to be. Tips of any shape and sort will be much appreciated. Thanx!!!

white clouds a re a hardy and colorful coldwater fish. a school of 8 or so in a 10 gallon with some hardy plants would look good.

would she be able to put less in a smaller tank?

in general i do not think anything should be in a tank smaller than 10 gallons except a betta.

There are a number of other exceptions as well such as a number of killies and peacock gobies.
