Guppy AI techniques

I am interested in breeding my ribbon male guppy. I have nonribbon I normally breed with my ribbon females, but I would like a larger percentage of ribbon to nonribbon offspring and so would like to try an AI method. I read an article on this site about a live bearer technique that included anesthesia of the fish and then rubbing its body, but that seems like rough treatment for such a small fish, I wouldn't want to injure my male while attempting to collect milt/sperm. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice?
