Actually, it was in front of the house that is next door to my work building.

75G....it was filthy, brought it home and it cleaned up nicely...there were also 2 10G's I brought home, as well, filthy also, haven't had a chance to clean them up yet.

Just too damn bad I can't keep the 75G........may try to sell it, I guess....if any of you lived closer, you could have it

Nice find. Restoring old tanks is a lot of work but it leave a great sense of satisfaction and pride.

So what’s the plans for the new tanks?

Yes, the glass was covered in hard water deposits and algae, inside and out...plain white vinegar (and some elbow grease) took care of it.

I suppose I'll try to sell the 75G, since I have no room to keep it...and I'll replace one of the 5.5G with one of the 10G'sd (assuming they clean up well, and don't leak)...no idea what I'll stock it with, though.

oh so neat - you found a great find and scrubbed it into a treasure! I so wish you could keep it and build a stand like you did for your 40B.

I understand. The dog-napping couch is vital!

You did a beautiful job on this 75.

It's really a shame you couldn't replace the 40 with it. It's only a little bigger won't take that much more space but you'll have 30 more gallons to play with. I'm just here to help

You did an awesome job cleaning it though it looks brand new.

    Thanks Nat.

Mrs. Slap suggested the same thing, the only way we could keep it is to swap with the 40B...but I'd have to build a new stand, and the daunting task of tearing down the 40B with all of those fish scares me out of it....

It's daunting to think about, but not that bad to do if you have patience and just plow through slowly, methodically with a plan. When I did my smaller upgrade from a 26g to a 40b it took a few hours but actually went pretty smoothly. Of course, I had fewer fish to catch than you do and had the help of my son. I bought a new 20g at the $1/g sale to move the fish to while I swapped out the tanks. You could maybe use one of those tubs Natalia used or something like this - https://www.homedepot.com/p/HDX-55-G...NE-4/205597365

Before selling that 75g, I'd take some time to mull it over, do some planning, especially since Mrs Slap is all for it.
