Default Betta species issue. Or is it fin rot?

This looks like a pretty credible and clinical website.

I have a Betta. It seems to be a Delta. I'm noticing some fin irregularities that may or may not be fin rot. Been treating him with aquarium salt etc.
Then switched to API Fin and Body Cure along with API Fungus Cure. He has a touch of white one of his ventral fin tips. His dorsal fin looks more like a comb or crown tail. He seems to be active enough. Attached are some images. He tore his tail fin a while ago, but it healed nicely. His tail looks a little frayed on top and his anal fin looks shredded, but some Bettas carry that trait as a matter of breeding? I'm new to Betta fish. Haven't had an aquarium since I was a kid.

Is it possible that from all the mixed breeding a Betta can have more than one fin "style"? Carry the traits of more than one sub-species in the same fish?

Any feedback would be most welcome. I hope I was articulate enough. Thank you for your consideration!

What are the water parameters? Often doing a large water change and keeping the water free of ammonia and nitrites helps to speed up healing (done by testing for ammonia/nitrites and doing a WC when they are found).

BTW think you have a Delta. According to this guide first the betas are based on the tail-which is a delta, also crowntail's webbing cannot go past 2/3 of the ray.
