    OK so tank update!
It's officially cycled and ready for some fishies. I went on Aquabid and found some pygmy corys (which is the type I wanted anyways) and got 10 for $25. They should be here for next week :D

The listing just labels them as: Corydoras pygmaeus, The Pygmy Cory. These are wild caught.
The seller had good reviews and seems to take good care of his fish. Plus they are located one state away from me so shipping won't take as long. I should get them next week! (He only ships on Monday/Tuesdays)
I also went with corys first cause I have A LOT of algae for them to munch on now. My tank looks awful right now. Haha

Gotcha....there's also C. habrosus and C. hastatus in the pygmy cory group

Corys aren't big algae eaters, you'd need otocinclus for that....corys eat regular fish food, and veggies

Ah yeah, I guess I just want some fish in there so I can start doing water changes to help. I am afraid to do it right now and ruin the cycle. haha

Okay finally got my cute little corys in the tank! They are literally THE CUTEST, 100% my new-ish favorite fish. I ordered 10, but one was DoA so I have 9 now. So far they are thoroughly enjoying swimming back and forth around my tank.

I'm hoping my tank will equal out soon, I've got to take out all the wood/sponges to clean the algae off. It's gotten so wild with the hair algae I've had to take my long tweezers and grab as much as I can. I did a decent size water change right before I got the fish and it seems to help so far.

Congrats on the little cuties, the pygmy cories (all 3 varieties) are so active and easy to :luv:

A cheap toothbrush also works well on getting hair algae, just swirl like spaghetti, that stuff is just a PITA to remove.

Thank you! I didn’t think I’d love them as much as I do, but gosh they are so fun to watch.
Yes I feel like I’m just constantly swirling around everyday. It’s entangled into my java moss and I can’t seem to get it out. Lol I read where increasing lighting actually helps (I only had it on for 8 hours) so I increased it a tad to see what happens!
