    I've seen a few articles that say nerites only live 1-2 years, but that hasn't been my experience. Mine have lived generally 3+ years and I have one that's been in a tank for 5 years. I've just noticed this last one seeming to fall off the glass a few times so he may be nearing his end. I've turned him back over 3 times so far and he starts moving again, so he's not yet gone, but probably a bit weaker.

    I've never been able to keep a snail alive for more than a year or two in any of my tanks. Must be something in my water or my setups. But I do recall that nerites seemed longer lived than most.
