I want to know if Algae wafers are safe for Jewel Cichlids and Kuhli Loaches. I am not sure what my Kuhli Loach eats all day.

Both aren't algae-eaters, so no if you meam as staplefood but yes as an addition.

If you read the ingredient list on many algae wafers, you'll see that algae isn't the primary ingredient. There's a lot of fish meal.

I wonder why they're called algae wafers. I am keeping a Dwarf Pleco and some Electric Blue Mainganos/ Johanii Cichlid males in there too. I would like to use it during feeding. I seem to have carnivores and herbivores in the same tank. I get the feeling that it's not a good thing to have. My staple food at current is Tropical flake. The Cichlids are too small to start eating pellets, so I am considering crushed agae wafers (more Mbunas than Jewel Cichlids). Brine Shrimp okay addition to diet?
