Will Mbuna Cichlids from Malawi fit in with any known Tanganyika Cichlid Species? I am referring to a 55 gallon Tank. Want to keep Feather fins.

Nevermind. I found out that Victorian Cichlids are better for mixing between lakes. Rather I am wanting to know if this list is compatible between all species: Red Top Greshakei Cichlid, Red Top Zebra Nakatenga Cichlid, Hogi Super Red Top Cichlid (I seem to be obsessed with these Red Tops) Likoma Elongatus Cichlid, Super Red Jewel Cichlid, Electric Blue Maingano Cichlid,Crimson Tide Cichlid, Ice Blue Cobalt Zebra Cichlid, Electric Yellow/White color morph Labeotropheus Mbuna Cichlid, Yellow Tailed Acei Cichlid. I want to put most of these in My tank. I don't want crossbreeding.

How do I use the website? All I can see is that it gives a list of Cichlids. I do want to know if Labidochromis and Labeotropheus are closely related. Don't want Hybrids.

Click on the "55 gallon" library page link for some recommended stockings. In the left corne is a link to the forum, with various folders to address more specific concerns.

Hybridization is always a possibility. The potential can be reduced if the species in the tank are kept in harem's comprised of several females per species.

The potential can additionally be minimized if the species you acquire are of a different genus; and reduced further if the color patterns are different.

In general there should be low probability of a labidochromis hybridizing with a labeotropheus if keeping groups of each.
