Default 9 Gallon Fluvel Flex Shrimp Tank

    2 Not allowed!
I suddenly got the urge for including ornamental shrimp into my aquariums and have recently set up two tanks for them. most likely because I have no room for big tanks and can always slip in smaller ones here and there. Here is one, a 9 gallon Fluval Flex.

I love this little aquarium: the contained, all inclusiveness of it. The filter is actually very nice for the size of the aquarium. The only thing did not love was the plastic lid with light that came with it ( really tacky and insufficient light) and replaced it with another clip on light.

The substrate is Controsoil. Which I am really liking. There are no inhabitants yet; have been cycling for 5 weeks now and letting all those critters and algae that work best for introducing shrimp. Most likely will be adding about 12 Bloody Mary shrimp this coming week.

Planted some mini pella and floaters ( frog-bit and salvinia) at top of log where growth will be emersed.

I saw those tanks showcased at my LFS. Love what you did with it :) I think you'll love keeping shrimp. I'm thinking about keeping them again too! They will have fun in your tank.

Is that a cover for the input slots near the top to prevent shrimp/small fish from getting in the filter area? I know some of their newer tanks started to have these but can't remember which ones.
