    Having an issue with Bogwood lately at least i think it is this , there is a lot of brown sediment on the wood over the plastic plants, the bogwood seems to be slowly decaying ,

    i have it in tank about 6-8 years should i remove this

    Aside from the debris it won't do any harm. Add a clown pleco (Panaque) and it will happily eat the soft wood. Will still make a mess pooping it out, but the wood will be well used, lol.

    I was just going to ask if you have a pleco/panaque as I have bristles and clown plecos and their rasping on the wood regularly leaves this type of debris in the tubs they are currently residing in.

    I did not have this issue when I had them in a 75 gallon tank with some current to move the debris to the filters. Could be you don't have enough current in the tank to get this to the filters. If the bogwood is soft though-soft enough that you can crush it, or if it smells like it is decaying you should remove it from the tank as it can rot and mess the parameters up in the tank.
