I have a 55gallon with 24 mbuna I purchased about 3 months ago and I'm looking to change my filtration as I expected I would need to upgrade. right now I have a topfin silent stream 75 and two 4.5 in sponge filters but I'm not entirely happy with the job they are doing mechanically. so the question is do I add AC 70, AC 110 or sunsun canister. and if sun sun which one. love the the canister for media but hate it for setup with tubes ect. i like the aquaclear for ease of setup and maintenance but hate to see it and hear the water flow. thank u in advance
for that set up I would recommend a sunsun 304b. I have been very happy with the 22 304's I've been running for 3 years. You can go about 3 months between cleanings, and you don't have to pay for premade pads.
I'd vote for the AC110, but it's not in your poll, lol, so I vote AC70

Have you people ever had a sunsun? Aquaclear makes a good back filter, but it's a back filter and limited too the amount of filtering it can do. And yes I know your going t say I'm wrong, even throw I was a Hagen platinum dealer for over 20 years and probable sold at least 10,000 Aquaclear filters in assorted sizes in that time.
Most of the time flooding from a sunsun is user error! I think aquaclears are a great bf, I also think fluval is a great filter, I currently run 7 FX 6's. Every body is entitled to they're own opinion, but I've run 60 assorted sunsun filters at once and only had 1 failure, and that's when my dog bumped the tube! I am answering the op's question on which would be a better choice for his set up. Your basing your opinion on 1 filter that you probably didn't put to gather right.

Thank you for the response.
I take it I am then not really aloud to respond to this person about my own personal experience with this product following your post?
If so yeah right as if I am going to listen to you about that.
User error?? Opinion based on one faulty issue that may have been my fault?
Come on what a joke!
As a qualified carpenter, finishing carpenter, and engine builder following plans and instructions are mandatory to me, for my racing hobby and worked related life.
So I reject your notion that it could be user error, and I rejected your comment about user error. Also I reject the notion that my opinion based on one issue is worth nothing.
I challenge you to either apologize or prove your self correct that I am not aloud a opinion based from experience.
