Auratus changed color

here is the befor and after pics, you can clearly se that she lost alot of color.. shes in a 200L tank with on socolofi, theyr always fighting and he is stronger,its been 2 weeks since i seperate beteen her and the scalofi that was bugging her with a plastic net in the middle of the tank and she still hasnt regain her color but she seems to be ok and continue to try fihting him through the net ,even now..do you have any sugestions what to do? water parameters are 0,0,10 and both of them eating well.

That's normal for auratus, males change color when they reach maturity. They're highly territorial fish, and typically claim the whole tank as their own space. (Don't play well with others.)

first of all she a female, second she has reached maturity about a year ago and third this change of color isnt typycal. this lost of colors and fade pale look is not a normal change it indicates that something is wrong.. writhing things like that as facts isnt right and can cause fish to be neglected...

Aside from changing color on maturity I've never heard of an auratus suddenly going darker. Sub-dominant males will sometimes show female colors to avoid conflict, but even dominant females never show male colors. Have you recently added other fish or rearranged the tank decor, leading to a need to redefine territories? If not, try rearranging and adding some cover. If that doesn't work move out the fish. If aggression continues too long one fish at least will be stressed to death if not killed outright.

n didnt add or changed anything but the situation at the moment is that the fish are seperated. shes not darker shes paler, the yellow became white...

Yeah, I can see that. She is def scared in my opinion. See if you can add more objects to hide away the other fish by the separation net. Otherwise remove the socolofi and she if she regains her colour.

I would say at least 30% of auratus females display that color pattern. it happens when the fish is 2 or 3 years old. There's nothing wrong with the fish or water condition, it just happens. The Pindani is just trying to breed her and she is showing male color pattern to make him less interested.
