I think one of the troubles with our great nation is that we have felt so safe for so long that it is easy to take security for granted. It is easy to forget the sacrifices, which seem so long ago, of those who fought and died to make it that way. War seems a very remote reality for most of us. It is so easy to forget.

Our family lost so many relatives on those beaches, along with the Japanese war.

These brave men fought for the freedom we have now.
Be it right or wrong, they did what they where instructed to do, and gave their lives so others did not have to.
