Majority of fish medication to be banned in Canada

Pretty soon you'll need to go through a veterinarian to acquire medication. The government no longer wants medication being 'prescribed' by those who aren't doctors or veterinarians to reduce the amount of misdiagnosis and therefore overusage of medication entering the waterways.
Should be a fun time ahead.

Think that will mainly be antibiotics and specific heavier meds. They are allready forbidden overhere.
To be honest when I read what and how meds now and are thrown in without a decent diagnose I think they're right.

This is true. I have been in a couple of retail stores recently and noticed the lack of meds available and was given this as the reason that meds are no longer stocked.

Pfffff quite worrying.
So that's mainly why the state interferes now?

Here use was prohibited cause of the build up of restitance against antibiotics caused by the mis / overuse. To be honest I quite often see (on several international forums) antibiotics dosed before a proper diagnose.
