So as my signature says I currently have a 180g fish tank. I purchased the Stingray about 4 months ago when it was only 4 months old. It since grew a little. The Gar I purchased maybe 5 months ago at already 10-11”. Since it has grown about 2”.

In October 2020 I have plans to upgrade to a 300g. I will be putting the Florida Gar and Stingray in there along with another 2 Stingrays and a Gar for a total of 3 Stingrays and 2 Gars. I also want to put in 1 fish that’s not a gar or Stingray. I was thinking of a Puffer. What do you think of a Puffer in that tank or any other suggestions.
    180 Gallon:
    1- Motoro Stingray
    1- 13” spotted Gar

I don't think there are too many of us here with larger fish like you have, although there are a few. Hopefully someone will chime in with suggestions for you. My largest are diamond and Hy511 tetras in a 40B. Sorry I can't provide any suggestions.

Rachel O'Leary has a tank with a couple of gars, although not the stingrays. She has bichers with hers. She does mostly specialize in nano fish, but has this one large tank which I've linked below.

What will the full grown size of the stingrays be? There is a fish store around me that has two stingrays in a 2 to 300g tanks and they honestly are way too big for the tank. They take up most of the bottom, and when they shift to the side of the glass they run from top to bottom.

Idk if yours will get that big, but something to think about when you are planning how big to go.
