Default CO2 Regulators and their reviews

    0 Not allowed!
Within the past few days I've been researching regulators and trying to find one that has good reviews but won't cost an arm & leg ($100 or less). I even went as far as to attempt to find all of the parts to build my own but quickly learned that the cost was going to be way over my budget.

Nearly all of the regulators I've been looking at, including the expensive (> $200) have a TON of negative reviews. Are they really that prone to failing/leaking or is it a user error (or both)? I've been looking at Up Aqua, Aquatek, MOD, ST International and a few others. All of them have negative reviews with either leakage or solenoid failure (most with leakage).

Does anyone have any input on these regulators, or another manufacturer that they would recommend that would fit my budget?

I use 3 of these regs with out any problems, I would also recommend the PH controller.

Well, after pleading my case like a prosecuting attorney my wife agreed to a more expensive regulator. After a lot of research I've decided to buy a CO2ART dual stage Pro regulator.

I'll use a drop checker for now and take baby steps, but I'd like to eventually buy the Milwaukee PH monitor. The only draw back to this regulator is it doesn't have a bubble counter and can't have one added due to the outlets orientation. I'll solve that issue with a 3 in 1 diffuser.

I'll be sure to post in my journal once I get it.

*** EDIT, it does have a bubble counter. I got mixed up after looking at dozens of regulators.
