To answer a few questions. I didnt read the directions because i rushed to set everything up christmas eve. But lets be honest i probably never would have read them. I never heard of wating 15 min but if thats really a thing im assuming thats why it broke because i dont remember how long i waited if i did at all. I will be getting a better heater but the 25 bucks at walmart wasnt a big deal and i can always use that for a hospital tank. And as far as seeding from my 110 unfortunately i lost that tank to a hurricane/flood in 2012 i just keep the link in my sig so i dont loose my journal, i miss that tank. Im waiting to get back home to test my water tonight because the temp still doesnt explaine how my nitrItes went from threw the roof to 0 and i didnt have a mass amount of nitrAtes. Is there a delay befor they show as rAtes idk just puzzling it happened thebsame night as the heater failing

You may have already said this, but what was the ppm of ammonia you have been adding to the tank? I think my 75g had similar results when cycling, I had added 2.0 ppm of ammonia to cycle.

With what happened with your heater I would add more ammonia once it reaches zero and watch the tank another week or so just to make sure everything is okay.

I agree im definatly going to wait a wile. I origanaly dosed anywhere about 4ppm ammonia then i was putting in 45 drops each time it was as close to 0 as it gets. 45 drops is about 1.5ppm in my tank. I feel like i never get that real yellow ammonia test. The green drops quick but then kind of settles at .25 i attached my current test below20190226_233622.jpg

For some reason i dont trust my ammonia test. How is it possible i never got a really solid 0ppm ammonia but yet i got a 0 nitrIte reading. The second bottle in the ammonia test kit always drips out faster im wondering if it is putting more solution in. I always assumed a drop is a drop no matter how fast. Anyway i put another 30 drops of ammonia in just to keep things moving i dont want to be starving the BB if my kit is wrong. How many ppm of ammonia should it be able to cycle in a 24hr period before i say its safe for fish
