Rocksor i agree $28 is cheap i ment the fish seemed a little expensive. I thought the point of getting a bundle was to get a deal. If not would it make sence to choose my fish individually. Are there pitfalls i should worry about buying random mbuan as juvi unsexed. Or is there an advantage to buying the bundles that im not taking into consideration.

I would stay away from the package deals, they're just getting rid of some of the stuff that dose not sell well, mostly because the fish are to aggressive. If you cherry pic, stay with zebra types and some of the afras and fuelleborni types.

Thats a really interesting point. And if im not really saving money what is the point in not hand picking them. I just worry that being new to cichlids im going to pick ones that dont play well togeather. What about males/females if im over stocking should i be concered or just try to stay with the less agressive and let them sort out the hierarchy.

Like I said, I gave you some guide lines, if you want I'll go thru your picks and give you advise on each type of fish. I'm sorry to sound like a know it all, but I know a lot about mbuna and African cichlids in general. I first imported them in 1972 and made a living selling them for many years.

AmazonJoe works for a very respected fish supplier, maybe keep it in the A/C family.
