Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows what these white specs on my ottoís back are? Iím sure itís not ich, although Iím wondering if itís some kind of fungus or infection? This Otto hasnít been doing well, he was laying on his side yesterday and this morning although it seems like he still has a chance to recover from what ever he has. I really appreciate your opinions, thanks!

No itís not ich, it looks like white patches. Usually ich looks like a tiny clear ball that looks attached to the fish. This looks like a flat white spot/patch. For now I quarantined the Otto, although I havenít dosed anything in the tank. I was thinking of maybe adding some aquarium salt to see if that helps

Looks like a fungus to me. Hard to say more from the picture.
I would try treating with Pimafix which I believe is catfish safe.
Do as I say. Not as I do.
