Sorry it's late, I don't know what else to do for him :( Don't know why he would be suddenly running into glass....unless he was spooked.....
    Hope he pulls though too!

So sorry to read about little Starlord, I hope he has made it thru the night. A QT bin would be the best for him.

Thanks he has gotten his color back but he's up in the corner kind of sideways. I have no idea what could be wrong with him. He doesn't have any fungus or wounds or anything you can see, he's not bloated. Only other thing I can think of is parasites or gill flukes? Or maybe the Bichir is trying to eat him when I'm not looking?

I know! I saw them in the first pic with the actinic light on. They are so beautiful! Never had veiltail angels, but they are certainly stunning :)

I think maybe that's what is happening. Are brichirs nocturnal? I was thinking intestinal parasite at first since he did not grow to his potential size, hence why I asked about weight, but I think he'd be losing weight by now if it was. Have you even added anything new lately? Gill flukes would be newly added because they don't go unnoticed for long periods of time. Seems unlikely....

They're enormous. Especially the black one. I'm doing a water change now. Hopefully that will perk up little Starlord. He's swimming around a little bit more now. I had to take a Texas cichlid back to the fish store because he got to big and was really going after Starlord and he hasn't really been the same ever since

Maybe it was the texas cichlid then, especially if you saw him going after Starlord. I hope he continues to improve with good params and the bully out.

It's the Bichir! He tried to eat Starlord! He's over a foot long now and trying to eat everyone! I guess I'm gonna have to keep my tank stocked with feeder gold fish, as much as I hate to do that. I think it's the only way to keep my other fish safe. He hasn't been able to catch any of the giant danios or the 2 little black skirt tetras that are in there but must have thought he could eat Starlord but he's a bit to big I guess but I don't want him to try again
