Well, I lost another goldfish. Goodbye Blu . I have my 2 originals left; Roxie and Butterscotch but my heart just isn't into goldfish anymore. So I have a friend who will take them and give them another home.

I'm also sorry to hear you've lost another goldfish.

Closing your goldfish chapter for the time being must have been a difficult decision, but I'm certain that you've selected a good home for your remaining duo.

Thank you, its tough to see them go after 2 years, but I would want to add to the two and my adding has been just ending in death. Goldfish don't seem to be as hardy as I remeber.

On another note, the 150 will be used as a breeding tub for plecos. I have some heaters comming in tomorrow and once I get them setup Ghost and one of the albino girls will be going in there (the other albino was moved into the 125 the sultans don't do anything to her, she is almost 3x their size). Once I see eggs, the MS will be leaving the tub- eating babies for her! Ghost will stay untill the babies are born.

Also Sis got her 120 set up and we will get the FX4 from the 150 gallon tub set up today. Currently it has a little Marineland 200 with filter floss to get rid of the cloudy water. She will be moving her syno, acara, (those are currently in the 75) and new knife fish into the tank. Think she is going to add some botia loaches as well but not sure which-maybe clowns? She has a massive piece of DW in the tank for a while, and of course once filled with water it floated so I am unsure if she will wait for it to sink before adding the fish. There are some softball+ rocks in there, but even those can't hold the wood down.

I finally got the third low boy set up completely last night. It is also running with a Marineland 200 with some polyfil-the one that was on the 33 gallon tank. Haven't had a chance to see the tank this morning, but last night it was too cloudy to move the fish over. The laetacara araguiae, the 2 blue acara and the 2 pleco/catfish will go in hopefully today; they are still in the 33. Feel bad as I stripped the tank of vegetation to move to the 50g/low boy and the fish were a bit stressed last night before the light was moved over to the low boy. Those acara are so funny thinking they are araguiae-schooling with them and acting like little eggs, lol.

My pleco L114 will go into the tank too; he's in the 40 right know with the shoutedeni puffer, and I may get a couple more of the unidentified pleco/catfish to add to the group.

I will try to get some pics in tonight.

Thanks Kevin! Sis warned me 2+ years ago that I shouldn't jump back into goldfish. She remembers me having them when we were both much younger and how many problems I had with their swim bladders and ich. That hasn't been the issue now, I have had 9 goldfish of varying sizes and 4 died mysteriously, Ziggy of his wound, Blu of overnight dropsy (had to put him down he was so pine-coned), (pate) Choux died about 2 years ago of septicemia along with some of my Dojo loaches when I had my first three in my 75 gallon upstairs.

Roxie and Butterscotch survived through it all but I didn't want them to be in a 150 all by themselves and I know adding more goldfish would just lead to more deaths. So I decided to let them go to a new home.

Re the nano tank. I am trying to find time and tools to make the stand. I have no saw (miter, band, circular or table) to cut the wood, just a jigsaw. I tried hardware store cutting but they are so off so I will either head over to my Dad who has a circular and band saw, or I will rent a table saw for a couple hours ($26 for 4 hrs) to cut the wood. Looking to make a tall stand and wrap it and stain it. It will be open and have a bottom and middle shelf ( I hope, lol). This will be my first time wrapping a stand.

I did take last Monday off of work to use Dad's saw, but he forgot and was painting in the garage so I couldn't use it and get sawdust on his doors, lol.

May just take a Friday and Monday off to work on it and a couple other things. I have two days off left, plus my vacation is coming up at the end of the month.

Lol, I do have the fish for the tank already, and will be adding some mini poso rabbit snails once they arrive. Eventually I will be hoping to add some shrimp, torn between chocolate neocaridina or the green babaulti. I have time to decide since the tank needs to be up for at least
    two
months or so before they go in.

I took a video last night, but my phone is so touchscreen sensitive that I must have shut it off almost right after I started

I forgot to mention that we adopted another cat-kitten really at 7 months. Were looking at a 2 year old, but he was not very friendly to other cats...he likes to bully and fight with them.

    Say HI to Kermit

    IMG_20200807_163309739.jpg
He is like his brother, an open cabinet is just another place to explore. He is a huge 7 month old, and very cuddly and feisty. hope he grows out of the grab and bite routine. Zelda our other kitten (well at 1yrish she is at the end of kitten) did the hand bite thing too, but at 1 yr she is 6lb, at 7 months Kermit is 10 lbs... he is going to be another monster cat, even bigger than Bowie and Wednesday who are 15 lbs!

I got the rimless set up. I have everything to build a stand but time. I had some space on a rack when I broke down the 33 and moved the fish over to the low boy.

I had purchased some culture C. undulata from a pet store and it is slowly going submerged in another small container. Eventually it will fill the front open spot on the right. Or I have some C. nurii and C. nurii rose maiden in my 15 that I can move over depending on how the undulata do. Loving the light, it will do well with the pogostamen helferi I trimmed out of my Sister's pea puffer tank. It was covered in hair algae, I am hoping I got 99.9% of it (and any small duckweed)
The fish are in the 15 gallon, the smallest gouramis; P. ocellatus. I am waiting for some mini poso snails to ship and a couple fauna/chopstick snails will be going in. In a couple months I will add some shrimp, what kind is still in question. Either a neocaridina (not 100% on the color; orande, rose or yellow) or green babultai shrimp.

I was going to put a Marineland on it, but since the tank is downstairs now I took advantage of my air system and some cycled sponges and set up a sponge filter for an instant tank.
