    Actually, I think I will keep these fish in this tank and try to build a biotope around them.
    It looks like the lake they come from is high in humic acid- a blackwater lake.
    I will just leave the wood, get some anubias species, some bolbitas, and nymphae. Not too heavily planted.

    The other fish that I may add that comes also from this lake is nanochromis transvestitus- I think Ill get a pair and call it good.

    Oh I wish so badly I could get fish like that! I would be so tempted to breed them! Have you considered it? Is the other fish a cichlid? Pardon my ignorance.

    This is a very small cichlid and is peaceful- well with other fish anyways. They can be somewhat combative among themselves.

    This is the other one I was looking at which is smaller than the transvestitus.
