I'm glad you got the kh/gh test, especially with soft water, it's important to understand the dangers IMO. Nitrification just simply can't perform properly, or at all, unless certain conditions are favorable. If the nitrogen cycle can't preform well, the fish are at great risk.

I'm really happy you ordered Prime. It's so important to bind that ammonia while it is converted to Nitrite (by nitrosomonas) and while Nitrite is converted to Nitrate (by nitrobacter). When is it expected if I may ask?

Also, how much water are you able to remove at a time?

The Prime ordered Tuesday will be here Thursday. Tested my water today and Ammonia is still at 0.

I just got a Python Drain & Fill, so water change shouldn't be a problem.

Good news everyone, got the KH/GH test kit. KH tested at 53.7 - 50-100ppm & GH tested at 89.5 - 140-200ppm. Ammonia, Nitrite & Nitrate test at 0. Fish still looking good.

    Gh is 5.4 degrees
    Kh is 3.2 degrees

Very nice. Perfect for a lot of species of fish and plants. On the soft side though.
