I can't say for for sure either how a ram would do, since they are cichlids and cichlids all have their own personalities. They are mostly bottom strata like the garras and cories, but in my experience with them, they may defend an area, but they don't really cause injury to other species of fish, just more or less push them away. If your gourami and ram currently get along, I would guess he's a more docile specimen.

Wow, those Garras are literally climbing up the glass. That's really cool looking. I think, though, that I'd rather pass on the Garras for now and maybe get them if I ever set up a Hillstream tank.

I just went through the pictures on my computer I'd saved of fish pics to give me some more ideas, too. I was thinking 1 male and 2-3 female Gardneri Killifish might be a cool addition. Does anyone know if they would get along alright with the Honey Gourami? I looked up some articles and sites and they should get along with most of the other fish I'm considering. So along with the Gardneri Killifish, a short list of possibilities I'm thinking of are:
Harlequin Rasboras, Gold Tetras, Cherry Barbs, Glass Catfish, Platies, Bristlenose Pleco, Corycats I haven't kept, or Brochis splendens. Obviously I couldn't keep all of those, but I'm trying to research them and narrow down the list from there. Are there any of these that wouldn't work with the Killifish?

From what I've read and this video, your killifish should be fine with most of the species you like. A Harley school, 10-15, would look awesome with this tank and either a same size school of the Gold tetra or Cherry barb.
