Received some new fish and shrimp today from Aquatic Arts. They're all very small but hoping they all fare well.

9 Red Beckford's Pencilfish (Nannostomus beckfordi var. "Red") - Tank-Raised!
    3 Peacock Gudgeon (Tateurndina ocellicauda) - Tank-Raised!
3 Gold Nebula Shrimp (Caridina villadolidi) - these are similar to amano shrimp

The pencilfish are in my 25g that used to house my angel who died a few months ago. There are 3 sterbai and 2 rummy nose in there. The rummys are at the end of their time and have been dwindling over the last several months from the original 7. I've had them and the cories between 6 and 7 yrs.

For now, the peacock gudgeons and the new shrimp are in a 5.5g tank I re-set up a little while ago when I thought I was getting those black diamond neons that turned out to have ich. I want the shrimp for my 40b but they're a little too small I think, for now, so I'll let them grow out a bit. I had bought 3 small amanos for the 40b and 2 have grown so they're not bothered. I think the 3rd may have been snacked on. But I've also had RCS in there with no problem, although no breeding to speak of.

The gudgeons will stay in the 5.5g for a while - they're very small. I can't tell the sex of them yet, so if there is more than one male there could be territory issues in this small tank. In that case I will move one or maybe all of them to one of my 20g long tanks. This is a really new species for me, so I'm just hoping for the best to keep them alive.

Will try for pics of the peacock gudgeons soon. They're small and not fully colored yet but the tank is small and they were out a lot last night. The pencilfish were together last night and today they're pretty scattered around the tank. This tank has a huge anubias with roots everywhere that some of them have been in the middle of so these will be harder to shoot. May be able to get a few.
