More than likely tank raised, "looks like" about a one to one M/F ratio, the three biggest strongest ones would seem to be females, if that helps you ;-)

Good thing y'all bought a new air conditioner. We had to get a new one too. It sure does bite when they breakdown, but I'm grateful that it wasn't during the heat of summer. There was no fixing ours, but now I sure am glad to have a reliable one. Great to know that you do too.

Stopped by the LFS yesterday, and after being "inspired" by another thread here, picked up my very first angel fish...I think it may be a male, you guys can help me figure that out later, left it alone in the tank to settle in, but will try to get a pic/vid soon...not even sure what kind of AF it is, they were just labeled "angel fish" on the tank, lol...he was in a tank with 3 or 4 others, larger than him, and they were kind of picking on him, so got him out of there ;).....$8.99, not sure if that's a good price or not (?)
Also rescued a rather rough looking powder blue DG, hopefully he pulls through OK, looked much better this morning than he did yesterday.
Out of curiosity, I tested the water they were in....ammonia and nitrItes looked fine, but nitrAtes....YIKES...need to let them know about this....all the tanks are on a common filtration system, I'm betting it hasn't been cleaned in a very, very long time

Congrats on the new fish! I think $9 is probably average for a medium sized standard angel (P. scalare).
Holy crap, that's a high Nitrate reading. =X

Thanks Kev, good to know they didn't jack me on the price, lol
Yeah, that trIte level is nuts, I'm going to call them today...this LFS has been there forever, but just discovered their selection of fish is pretty decent...what's amazing to see is the transformation the fish go through whenever I put them into clean water in my QT...now I know why, lol
Don't really like how they keep some of the fish there, though...they had a full grown pacu in a 15G tank, for sale
