When first I spotted the black neos at the LFS, I had no clue what they even were, but even in there, in a tank with who knows how clean the water was, their colors shown through...they were pale when I got them home (stress from being caught/bagged/rode trip), but it didn't take long for them to color up nicely. Took me WAY too long to try them, but better late, than never, I always say...I'm going to get more of them, for the next QT, would like to have 12 in the 29G

Well I went back to the LFS to pick up some more black neon tetras, but they were all out, natch...saw these guys instead, the red eye tetra, Moenkhausia sanctaefilomenae, and picked up 8 of them....5.5G is certainly not ideal tank size, these fish need lots of room long-term, but I think they'll be fine for 2 weeks while QT'ing....they do have a rep for being a little nippy, hopefully they'll work out fine in the 40B...pale when I bought them, but coloring up nicely the last few days

    https://www.seriouslyfish.com/specie...ctaefilomenae/

If they do reach 2.8 inches, they'll end up being the largest tetras in the tank

Moved the red eyes to the 40B, they seem to be doing well, hope to get a vid soon

Back to the LFS this past week to see what they had, hoping for new black neons, but nope...took 3 pristellas instead, they're down to 4 in the 40B, been meaning to up their numbers, anyway...the tank they were in had 6 WCCM (at least that's what the tank was labeled, you never know), and no other fish, so I thought what the heck, I'd take those, too...they usually require cooler water than I can provide, but others here have done OK with them, so we shall see

Funny thing is, "WCCM #6" may not be what he/she seems, after observing for a few days...I'm pretty sure this is an imposter, lol...no big deal, as long as it gets along with others, which so far, so good

The one in question is featured in most of the short vid.. @steeler58, any idea?

Looks to be a Red Line Rasbora (Rasbora pauciperforata) too me.
