Test 4 and 5 are both testing for nitrite. Yet they have different amounts of liquid in the test tubes, when there should be an identical amount. As well as the line on the test tube you're supposed to fill to with aquarium water isnt being reached on some tests even after adding the drops.

When I get home this afternoon I will do two exact test of Nitrite filled to exactly 5ml. If I get a Nitrite reading should I boost my Ammonia back up or wait till zero?

So make sure to fill them exactly to 5ml. Sounds like it is consistently at 0ppm now?

But I still have Ammonia and my Nitrate has not gone up. If I get a zero test of Nitrite today should I boost my Ammonia back up?

I just feel something is not right. Either I dosed to much or to little or something else is wrong.

Toxic ammonia will prevent the growth of good bacteria, and stall a cycle. Boosting ammonia will not help. Dose with Prime everyday to keep the ammonia in non-toxic state or you can buy Seachem Ammonia Alert to let you know if you have toxic ammonia.

It is possible to have your cycle stall out. At this point I'd borrow some beneficial bacteria out of another filter somewhere and add a little ammonia deionizer and see what happens.

My Ammonia has been going down since I stopped dosing. It went once as high as 1.0 and yesterday it was at .25

There could be fish food that hasn't rotted yet, and ammonia could swing back up.

That is why cycling with rotting food or other sources (dead shrimp, etc) is wildly inconsistent.

I agree food could still be rottening. Also if my cycle was complete the Nitrate in my tank would be higher then the 5.0 coming from the tap. I think either I stalled the tank or I never brought the Ammonia high enough since I never saw levels higher then 1.0
