Talking Getting the Lighting Nice is Tricky

Today Ive been trying to reprogram my lights ( with hubby's help) to get better colors for both fish and plants. Primarily, the 180 gallon and the 60 gallon tank are what I would really like much better viewing of colors of fish and plants.

But, it is tricky getting the colors dialed in.
Here is a before picture that I took when I redid my 180 after a deep cleaning. Ive been very unhappy with the "yellowish" cast of my lights which appear to wash out the fish. So, after some help from a friend, I have programed my 2- 48 " Fluvel Lights to 100% Red, 100% Blue, 50 percent Green, and 60% white.
The results following are picture of tank before adjusting, with flash, and one without flash:

Before changed- this is with my I-phone and further away:

This is with my husbands camera with flash on:

    This is without flash:

The tank is a bit cloudy because i just did a water change.

The next thing plan to do after get lights dialed in is to put a dark colored background behind window film- I think this will give better contrast to photos.

Big difference in those pictures. I like the change you've made. Is this the Fluval 3.0? I have this light and just got too frustrated trying to program through the app. Although whatever setting it's on now is OK just maybe not optimal. Next time my son is here, I plan on having him spend some time with it. I may see if I can figure part of it out and mimic your settings.

Made a big difference didn't it!
I was surprised at how much brighter the fish appeared after adjusting.
    It is the Fluvel 3.0.
The new setting is red 100%, Blue 100%, Green 40%, and white 60% ( I may raise this up a bit more to add a bit more white light).

The colors I have to work with are pink, blue, cold white, pure white and warm white.
