    Question Unidentified plant

Hello everyone. I have a plant that I need help identifying; I found it in a ditch fully submerged. It loves my tropical snail tank. Does anyone have any idea what it could be?

    Thank you.

It looks like nitella or chara to me. Both are true algae. If it feels gritty and has a bit of an odor it's chara.

Yes, it is gritty, yet I haven't noticed any odors. But it does look like the plant in the link; I think that's what it is. Thank you, dwarfguy :)
