Hi, how are you fine fishy folk! Greetings from Downunder. Sorry to trouble you; but I did look at the suggested reference sites first. I've kept tanks for a long time. Recently went from a 4 foot tank to a 100 litre 2 foot and it's been a struggle. Seems to be more work. Also switched to LED and that seems not quite correct yet either. Anyway, I have always grown a lot of plants. Things got a little out of hand recently, so I decided to start again. I'm going for plants which grow a little more slowly. I don't think I've ever had this type of algae before - puffy blobs. Quite slimy too. What is it? I don't want it back in the rebuild - which currently has no fish. I did lightly bleach the plants and wood. But there is still a few small instances of this. What should I do?IMG_7300.jpg

Welcome to the forum! Hopefully someone will be able to tell you what type of algae that is soon! Here are some questions that will help us help you out :)

Do you know what brand\ model your light is? How long do you leave the light on per day? Have you been adding fertilizer and or co2?
