He is a blast, will check you out and try to keep an eye on the goings on in the room. Fish were really wary of him at first two, had all my cichlids trying to figure out what he was. https://instagram.fyvr3-1.fna.fbcdn....52257792_n.mp4

Thanks! My gourami is one of my favourites, grown him out since he was an inch.

Very cool. Is there something wrong with the top of his shell? Looks like a flap is loose or something.

Where does he get to relax up out of the water?...or does he even need to?

As I wasn't expecting to come into ownership of a turtle this size, the tank isn't fully prepared. I'm in the process of turning the top of the tank into his basking platform. That said, this species rarely leaves the water. He mainly sits on the bottom, pins himself in the corner against the weir and acrylic, or perches on the tall piece of driftwood.

I'd say 85% aquatic, as this is a riverine species. Perches a lot on the tall piece of driftwood with his head out of water. He hasn't basked yet.
