I was debating saving that last picture for potm... Not sure when the stars will align again for a shot like that!
Wow! I didn't see this until just now. Beautiful setup!

Plants like anacharis, I'll tie in a bunch to the rings or rocks.
Can I use the waxed floss? It's the only one I can find that doesn't have flavoring.

Lol, I meant Poly Floss! To hold the stem pieces in the bio ring.
I'll try to get a pic!

Plant base wrapped in a very small cut strip of filter floss like
    1901521228-1.jpg

and stuffed in a heavy ceramic rings with a larger inner opening like the biggest ones in this pic
    Different-types-of-ceramic-rings-used-in-aquarium-filters.jpg

Either could be replaced with any type filter material to cushion and keep the plant base in place, or any aquarium safe ring, it was just what a chain store around here starting doing with their plants and I reused them for my plants.

Thanks! I'm going to have to try that since it seems to pull out at least one wisteria a day. Yesterday it also pulled out 2 crypts, and when the crypt floated over towards it's territory it grabbed it in it's mouth and jerked it away! Haha drama queen. Not much agression between the fish at least!

Gotta love cichlids lol! I once planted a bunch of stargrass in one of the 33gs and my pair of angelfish ripped out every piece overnight! All floating at the top twice!

Don't know why but just seeing all those media in the bowls and plastic containers made me smile. You have a nice variety of material as well.
Think with logic and rationality more than emotion. Act with moderation and consideration. Contemplate ideals and realistic goals and weigh out possibilities and options. Temper not with personal delusions or false hope but learn to accept and move on.

No, no, it was a pic from the internet. I'm sorry if it looked like my pic. I couldn't find a large heavy size bio ring!

Sorry to be so picture happy, but I wanted to see if anyone can confirm the sex of the severum. It's starting to warm up to me a little more so I got a good shot of it. I read that the males have the lines on their face and the females are a solid blue. If that's true I would say this one is a male.

Sorry for the dirty front glass!
