    If OP is using bacterial supplements, I do think it's possible. But a test kit of your own is really helpful. I can't trust someone else to test my water.

    Perhaps...I've never used supplements, didn't need them in any of my tanks

    IMO, they're mostly a waste of $

    I've used them when adding a lot of fish at once, like when I consolidated 4 adult angelfish to my 120g for ex. I didn't have an ammonia reading.

    I also have used them to cycle my dirted tanks, they cycled in a few days. But there may have been some cycled media added as well, which I think is even better for cycling a tank 100%.

    I've done some research on them, like how the live bacteria stays alive in a bottle. It's in spore form! I just believe they could work and have had good experience with it. Just my
