Carpet anemone instead of a rock anemone? It was pretty and I think they had it priced at $30. I didn't want to put it in my DT without QT and I didn't want to put it in the QT with the fish. So I passed, but I'm horribly tempted to go buy a 10g tank to set up for a coral QT. I am really kicking myself for giving away my old 10g.

Kind of looks like it, mini Maxieís are pretty and Iíve seen a few that made me want to get one. They have a reputation for being fish eaters, then some people say they are fine. There was one for sale on a Facebook page I almost got and chanced it but didnít.

That's good to know about them possibly being fish eaters. Now I'm less sad about not bringing it home with me.

I stopped by Lowe's on my way home from work (the long way around) and picked up some items for the first DIY project of my 65g build - I'll be attempting to make sliding lids for the tank using acrylic panels and pvc corner trim. I'm hoping the hubs will help with the cutting. His regular days off are Thursdays and Fridays and I will probably be playing hooky this Friday. MSU is near where I work and it's likely traffic in that area will be a nightmare because a certain someone will be at the University for a campaign rally that day.

Thank you, Nat. I may try to do a video of it. Depends on how much cursing is involved.

I found my little yellow clown goby laying dead on the bottom of the QT this morning.
Last night he looked very pale and thin and was mostly hanging out in a corner of the tank like he was in time out. He came out for food and he's been eating, but I guess not enough. Or there may have been something else wrong. Everyone else in the tank appears to be fat and healthy.
This pic is one I took of the little guy when he was first added to the DT.

First sorry for the loss, it's never easy not matter the fish.

Second, on the acrylic lids. If you are going to keep acrylic for a lid, couple pieces of advice. Make sure you clean it often, when you have coral in the tank when it gets dirty it will impede the light getting into the tank. Also keep your sump open in this case, I know we all want to help prevent evaporation but its a good thing for a reef tank. If you keep the tank trapped up then keep the sump open.

Have you already cut it? If not can I make another suggestion, if you are still able to return that stuff.
