Haha I was never all that great with drawing. I got pretty proficient with 3d art and rendering, though, and years ago I used to make enough artwork that I decided to sell it.

I was even a featured artist for FineArtAmerica and some of my pieces were showcased on their main page for a few weeks. It was all just a hobby for me, however, and after a year or so I lost interest. Having a kid didn't really help. Raising a little baby kind of took precedence over everything else in life at the time haha

That's impressive! Those darn kids will suck the life out of you. But they're worth it, except for maybe during the teenage years, and, if you're lucky, someday they'll give you grandkids. Those are seriously the best thing ever. I'm going to see my grandson tomorrow and I can't wait to squish him. Maybe someday you'll get back into the fine arts, but you have living art in your aquariums now.

If I tried to draw up something it would just make it more confusing lol. Definitely not one of my strong points in life.

I can't draw, but I can steel pictures from other websites.

P.S. I finally have my video uploading to youtube. I'm at work and the signal sucks, so it will take it a while.

Ha! That's totally what I would do since I can't draw either. I'm adding pics and links to my Pinterest to keep all my build stuff in one spot. I've also got a word document going to keep track of ideas and suggestions. I will be totally prepared (and probably still a bit lost) when it comes time to get this build started, thanks to you guys and all my interweb research.

Ok, so lesson learned. I will not be recording in 4k any more on my phone. I finally got youtube to work and started uploading the video to you tube about 11:00 yesterday morning. It's just finished, but.... its there. My camera skills still suck, but hopefully this is a little bit better explination. Also, I took @BluewaterBoof advice and did the clogged main drain test. That was kind of fun to see, I have never tried that before.

Thank you, Matt! I really do appreciate you taking the time to record and share. Plus your purple plumbing is pretty snazzy. I guess I never noticed before that you have 3 firefish. I know there aren't many SW fish that allow you to keep conspecifics. It's neat to see them swimming together.

I really liked the rock anemone I saw today at Petco, but resisted the urge to buy it.

While looking at sand available here, I came across this cichlid sand. I really like the coloration and am wondering if it would be ok to use in a marine aquarium?

I brought in the canopy from the 65g to see how closely the stain matched the stand to the hubs' jungle tank. It's not a perfect match, but it's close enough.

I actually think thatís a mini maxi, but I could be wrong. I canít imagine why that sand would hurt, it will just be dead sand with no useful bacteria for you.
