    Well, I'm assuming the cooking process might kill any parasites. When I was a young girl, I went fishing with my dad all the time, something I really enjoyed. In the later summer, the bass would become wormy. We didn't fish them at that time, but I have seen one or two parasites in the flesh of game fish. As far as I remember, we still ate the fish. I figured that was a normal thing.

    Most wild caught food fish will have parasites of some sort or another, cook well, enjoy the extra protein

    I think we all get a little creeped out by the thought of parasites in us as opposed to on us. In the natural host, they may not cause a problem. it is when they get into a host they weren't meant to be in that there is trouble. I would agree that cooking kills most parasites, although some need more than others. Balis ascaris takes a flame thrower. (no joke)
