That is cool to read about your petricola. You can write all you want about your fishes' tactics, thanks for sharing.
It's true that eggs and if one happens to hatch, babies would be eaten up quickly in a cichlid tank, but given you have enough fish as it is, one is better than two (IMO). They like groups, and there is no room for a group.
