They are smart little buggers. Mine has a routine. He waits until the light in the aquarium goes off and then does a dance. He swims in a big circle at the front of the aquarium from the top to the bottom. He does that for a good ten minutes, then settles down and starts to eat. If I were going to breed any of my fish, it would be petricola cats.

It's true that eggs and if one happens to hatch, babies would be eaten up quickly in a cichlid tank, but given you have enough fish as it is, one is better than two (IMO). They like groups, and there is no room for a group.

I've kept a group of 12 petricola in my 125 with cichlids for many years, never had any baby catfish turn up. The multipunctatus in the 75 were fairly good at it, I managed to raise almost a dozen of their young ones.
