It could still be scar tissue from someone head butting him or something. I don't worry about scar tissue, it fades/heals on its own. If it's fuzzy at all, either some fungus set in or it's something bacterial. No other fish are showing this and no other symptoms with this angel?
Its pretty much gone away now. My runt jack dempsey had some white spots on the side of his face for a day and then it was gone so I'm not really sure what's going on. It wasnt ich spots it looks more like fungus but it was gone the next day.

Thanks angel, hes doing really great and has gotten huge! I tried adding a small jack Dempsey but I think he became food for my Bichir. I'll try again with a bigger one maybe

Hmmmmm pls take this as friendly advice, but I'm not sure about adding a second JD. As you already know, these fish are not advised to be kept together, it's good you have a tame JD right now. I'd keep a close eye on him though that he doesn't turn evil.... adding another might trigger this, or the new addition might not be so gentle. Or, as you have found out, a new addition might not be welcomed.
Do you have a second angelfish? I can't remember.

Do you have a pic of your PINK JD . Ive never seen one. How many plecos do you have and are they the ones that will get BIG ? Are all those fish young ones ,if not even that size tank may not be big enough. Jus my thought on it. I'll go back and read your entire thread.

I think the first picture in post #15 is the pink jd, although I had never heard of one before this post!
